Introduction to Class 1
“Welcome to Class 1! This year is an exciting journey where children transition from learning letters to reading stories. The 1st-grade program is designed to build a strong foundation in Literacy (reading and writing), Numeracy (math and logic), and Awareness of the world around us.
Our main goal is to help students become independent learners. We focus on:

Confidence: Speaking clearly and sharing ideas.

Curiosity: Asking ‘why’ and ‘how’ about nature and science.

Character: Learning to share, follow rules, and work with friends.”
Key Highlights of the Program

English: We learn Phonics (sounds) to help us read new words. We also start writing short, beautiful sentences.

Math: We explore numbers up to 100, learn how to Add and Subtract, and identify different shapes.

EVS (Environmental Studies): We learn about our body, our family, and how to take care of the Earth.

Activities: The day is filled with music, drawing, and physical play to keep the mind and body active.
